STRETCH OUT YOUR HAND!

Daily Diary - August 5th, 2016

Stretch Out Your Hand

I was reading pastor Mark Haney’s daily scripture and I gained revelation from God that I wanted to share with you this morning.

Mark 3:5-6 He said to the man,“Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other. Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

First of all it took action for the man’s hand to be healed.  We have to move in faith for God to work in our lives.  We need to take the first step and trust that God will do His part in our lives.  Many times people sit back and blame God without action.

Jesus told the man to stretch out his hand!

Question:  Do you feel God has told you to do something and you are standing still?

It takes effort and trust on our part to reach our God given destiny.  We simply need to stretch ourselves and let God be our source for His miracle working solution.

God deals in the impossible and most often reveals Himself to us in a way that He is recognized as the source and not us.  God gets the glory for His work through us.  We don’t get the glory for what He has done and will do.  This does not go well with our prideful flesh.  We need to face the fact that we are often selfish and pout when things don’t go our way.

I want to focus for just a minute on the second part of the scripture.

Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

When God performs a miracle in our lives the jealousy of the world around us wants to destroy the “Jesus” inside of us.  We must maintain a position of faith and stand against the darts of the enemy in faith.

People that don’t know Jesus as savior and walk without faith must attack the miracles of God because of their doubt and unbelief.  They would rather be in charge of their own lives by their prideful nature than admit and submit to the Lord as God.  God loves us and does not want anyone to perish, but He cannot change His nature as creator and master of all to please selfish mankind.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

The Pharisees and the Herodians of that time were a prideful religious people that had not believed God so therefore they plotted to destroy Jesus.  The spirit of God is inside of us as the Holy Spirit, which is the 3rd part of the Trinity.  God the father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  The same spirit that sought to destroy Jesus in mankind is still trying to destroy Him today.  2 Peter 3:9 reminds us that God is long suffering and not willing that any should perish.  Therefore we must hold strong in faith that the “Pharisees” in our own lives will come to repentance to the same Glory that has been revealed to us.  This is the Glory of God almighty through Christ Jesus our savior!

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
