ETERNAL LIFE DECLARED!

Eternal Life Declared
The book of 1 John is one of my favorite books of the bible. The opening is the declaration of John who had been with Jesus and he is declaring this testimony to us that we can have fellowship with the father and His son Jesus Christ. When we read this we receive joy in its proclamation of eternal life!
1 John 1:1-4 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.4 And these things we write to you that yourjoy may be full.
I think about Jesus’ disciples in the bible and how they had looked upon and touched our Lord in person. They obtained this revelation at a complete different level than us, yet we share in the same revelation through the Holy Spirit, which was made available to us through Christ Jesus.
John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
The Word of God and the Holy Spirit are teaching us “all things”. We are also reminded of all things that Jesus has said. This scripture tells us that we need to be teachable so we can learn all these things as we walk with the Lord. It also implies that we need to be “reminded” of what Jesus has said. This remembrance and time spent in God’s word builds our Faith!
Father God we declare salvation today. We seek the wisdom of your word and stand firm in faith to proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth in Jesus name Amen!
1 Corinthians 15:1-3 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
