RECONCILED WITH GOD!

RECONCILED WITH GOD
Romans 5:9-11 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
Webster’s Dictionary
reconcile |ˈrekənˌsīl|
verb [ trans. ] (often be reconciled)
restore friendly relations between : she wanted to be reconciled with her father | the news reconciled us.
• cause to coexist in harmony; make or show to be compatible : a landscape in which inner and outer vision were reconciled | you may have to adjust your ideal to reconcile it with reality.
When our relationships have been strained in life we need to be reconciled back to the people we have had the dispute. The definition above tells us that if we are reconciled we can coexist in harmony.
Mankind was separated from God by our sin nature in the garden when Adam and Eve were deceived by Satan. The only way we could achieve reconciliation was through the shed blood of Christ Jesus for the remission of our sin! The sacrifice that God made by sending Christ as our savior allowed us to coexist with Him in harmony. This was the “GIFT” of God.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Being reconciled to God in the scripture is past tense. Meaning we have already been reconciled. It is simply through our “REVELATION” of Jesus Christ as savior that we understand the process. It is time to gain the “TRUTH” that we are saved by the free gift of God and we need to simply receive it by faith that we are one with Christ Jesus our Lord!
Father God, We thank you that we are “reconciled” to you by your “GRACE”. We recognize you as our source in life in Jesus Name! Amen.
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
