GIVE THANKS!
Be Thankful
The world has a way of making us want more and more. The key word is “Want”. God meets our needs and has a great plan for us. We should always be “Thankful” for what we have and give God praise.
Psalm 100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
Question: Are you thankful for what you have?
1 Thessalonians 5:18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
How hard is it for us to give thanks in “Everything”? I believe our ability to give thanks is directly related to our Trust and Faith in our God. If He is truly the master of our lives then He has our needs met to the end. His word cannot fail and He loved us by sending His son to the shame and death of the cross for us to have eternal life. We owe Him our thanks in “Everything”.
1 Chronicles 16:34 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
God owns everything and He takes care of His children. We are blessed to be stewards of that which is God’s in the first place. Every material thing we have will remain on the earth when we pass from this life into eternity.
Deuteronomy 10:14 Indeed heaven and the highest heavens belong to the Lord your God, also the earth with all that is in it.
Father God, We give you “Thanks” today for your Son Jesus Christ whom you sent as our sacrifice. We are blessed to be able to have the “Hope” of eternity with you by your love and Grace. We will give you thanks and praise for what we have here and trust you with the things to come in Jesus Name Amen!
Colossians 3:14-16 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
