THE CROWN OF LIFE

The Crown of Life
James 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
During our daily journey through life we will be faced with many levels of temptation. Our ability to endure these temptations will result in “LIFE”. This is the kind of life that only God can provide and it will bring forth the JOY of the Lord and peace in our time of need.
The key word in James 1:12 is “ENDURE”
Websters Dictionary:
endure |enˈd(y)oŏr|
verb
1 [ trans. ] suffer (something painful or difficult) patiently : it seemed impossible that anyone could endure such pain.
• tolerate (someone or something)
When we face trials in life we have a choice to either “endure” or give into our circumstances. By definition we must “SUFFER PATIENTLY” and tolerate the “thing” we are going through. This is not easy at times, but it is necessary to receive the crown of life that God promises to us as believers.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
The “REVELATION” of needing a savior is “OUR” recognition of HIM being our source in Life at all times and especially during our time of need. We must patiently suffer through our FLESHLY responses during tribulation to allow God to intervene on our behalf, which is an example of FAITH!
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
When we experience the blessing of God we receive the fullness of “LIFE” that Jesus Christ shed His blood for us to obtain. Without the “Revelation” of Christ as our eternal savior we simply remain bound in our own fleshly destruction that is seeking to destroy us.
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
With Jesus as our source we can endure the temptation of the enemy and receive the crown of life!
Father God, we thank you today for Salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. We place our trust in you to endure the temptations of life and to bring forth the crown of life that is your promise in Jesus Name! Amen
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
