WHAT WILL YOU EAT?

WHAT WILL YOU EAT?

When it comes to kneeling during the National Anthem, I have my opinion just like everyone else. I am still not certain what the “foundation” of the protest even is. I have heard it change many times and no one takes time to truly explain it.

Maybe deception is taking place.  Is the foundation of the protest hidden in darkness and continuing to change?

Are we protesting “Racism”, “Police”, “Confederate Flag”, “Tebow”, Robert E. Lee”,  “statues”, “KKK”, “Trump” or just everything that makes us offended?

I truly don’t know what the protest is.  LOL!  I see grown men who are commentators on TV being so sympathetic to the protest and they can’t even explain it.  LOL!  I am sorry but its sort of humorous.

I assume we are simply “OFFENDED” because we are simply spoiled and want everything OUR way.  If we go back to the BIBLE in the book of Genesis we will see our selfish nature at work when Adam and Eve ate the apple.

When we RELY on man rather than God we will become offended, because we think we matter more than we really do.  God made us to love GOD and one another.   It’s the difference between SELFISH PRIDE and HUMILITY.  I found myself being OFFENDED because I don’t even know what is going on!  I am confused to the point it’s almost funny!

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

Rather than be confused I chose this morning to simply pray and read the word of God and let it provide us answers.

I believe we are in a deep battle of God vs. Man.  God is drawing a line in the sand and ASKING us all if we will choose MAN as our source or GOD.  This is the same question and conflict that Adam and Eve had to answer in the Garden when they ate the apple.

God is the only answer and very few are looking to Him as his or her source.

Galatians 5:17-23

17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[a] you want.18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

ACTS OF THE FLESH

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Webster’s Definitions:  Works of the Flesh (which are the enemy at work in our lives) The following word definitions came from the works of the flesh from the BIBLE.

discord

verb [ intrans. ] archaic

(of people) disagree : we discorded commonly on two points.

• (of things) be different or in disharmony : the party's views were apt to discord with those of the leading members of the administration.

dissension

noun

disagreement that leads to discord : this maneuver caused dissension

faction

noun

a small, organized, dissenting group within a larger one, esp. in politics : the left-wing faction of the party.

• a state of conflict within an organization; dissension.

noun

a literary and cinematic genre in which real events are used as a basis for a fictional narrative or dramatization.

selfish

adjective

(of a person, action, or motive) lacking consideration for others; concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure : I joined them for selfish reasons

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Proverbs 12:26  The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Food for Thought:

Has one of these men ate of the Apple “which is of the works of OUR flesh” and gave it to many and they ate?

Does one rely on a Godly foundation and humbly rely on the “Fruit of the Spirit of God” as his foundation?

Is one of these men relying on “MAN” as the source to fix their problems?

Is one relying on “GOD” as his source?

Matthew 6:33

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Are we seeking God First?

Adam and Eve had to decide if they would rely on God or eat of the fruit of their fleshly desires and chose to trust themselves (or man’s way) rather than God!

Hebrews 4:12

12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Psalm 60:2-6

You have made the earth tremble;
You have broken it;
Heal its breaches, for it is shaking.
You have shown Your people hard things;
You have made us drink the wine of confusion.

You have given a banner to those who fear You,
That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah
That Your beloved may be delivered,
Save with Your right hand, and hear me.

Father God we ask in Jesus name to reveal your love and grace to your people so that they will humble themselves and seek your face in Jesus name! Amen

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
