CHOOSE TODAY!

Choose Today
Another day has come and we have been given an opportunity to choose whom we will serve in life.
The summer has started and a new set of time consuming events are coming our way. In the midst of this chaos we will have the ability to choose life.
Joshua 24:15 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
This scripture reminds us that we have the choice to serve the Lord. Not only for ourselves but for our “Household”. If we as parents make this choice to serve the Lord our children will grow to follow as well.
Question: As your day unfolds will you choose to serve the Lord?
Webster’s Dictionary
serve |sərv|
verb [ trans. ]
1 perform duties or services for (another person or an organization) : Malcolm has served the church very faithfully.
Deuteronomy 30:19-20 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
The kingdom of God cannot be shaken. We have to conclude that we are secure and saved by knowing Jesus Christ and Lord and savior. We also have the choice to serve Him. These are 2 separate things even though they certainly overlap.
Our choices today will reveal whom we serve, either God or man. We need to renew our mind to make great choices in Jesus name. Amen!
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
