Mark and Carrie Ward

Messenger of Christ,
Motivator of People

Mark Ward Ministry

Carrie and I have been married and following the Lord for 26 years. During that time we have been through a lot of trials. I have made mistakes and fallen short of God’s glory many times in my life. There has only been one perfect one. Jesus Christ.

During my early days of not knowing Jesus as savior life was difficult.  That's when  I discovered that God loves me, my wife and children. I know the Lord has a future and hope for us.

It is a great thing as a father to know my children and wife are saved and will spend eternity in heaven.

During a time of desperation I learned that God’s plan is the only plan that works. I implemented that plan into my family and coaching and it has never failed. It has brought me peace beyond my belief.

I was given this scripture when I was on the bottom and searching for God.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

While following His plan I have witnessed the amazing goodness of God. So much that I published 3 Christian books and written blogs and preached the gospel for years. At no point did I write the books or blog on markwardministries.com to justify myself, but to share this amazing “LOVE” I had discovered.

With this love of God as my corner post, the young men that God had placed in my hands grew up to become husbands and fathers. They were being transformed the way that God would want them to be based on His word. They have become difference makers on and off the field in a Godly way.

I have been blessed to coach over 2,200 players over the last 26 years while winning more than 1,200 games. I have seen this change that God made in me impact more people than I can count. When I see the people that I have been blessed to coach or teach living for the Lord and raising their children with the Word of God it strengthens me. I have a desire to bring that to as many as God would send me too.

I remember being the guest speaker at Altus fields of faith event with more than 500 youth in attendance. Over 100 people came forward for prayer and salvation. Being a willing vessel and seeing God move like that changes a person. It is humbling and powerful.

2 Corinthians 12:9-11
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

I have been involved in coaching, travel ministry, youth ministry, preaching and raising my children for the past 26 years, while doing my best to be the best man and Christian I can be, but never perfect. There is only one perfect one.

I am purchased by the blood of Jesus.

The bible tells us that we are ALL sinners and fall short of the glory of God. If that statement is true. Then ALL means ALL.

The bible is clear on this one major fact as Christians that we all share in. The blood of Jesus is the atonement for our sin.  Through His sacrifice for us we have eternal life with our Lord and Savior.

The bible tells us that we must forgive others before our Father in heaven can forgive us. God not forgiving me is a judgement that I will never ask for or want in my life or my family. I’ve learned to walk in forgiveness to receive His forgiveness.

I have an amazing wife and children that love me to the end. It is a fact that our children are life changers and difference makers because they know Jesus Christ as savior.

My main focus is on loving God and loving and protecting my family. Next is to fulfill the plan in my life that God has for me. If we know Jesus as savior we are purchased by His blood to do so. Being purchased and sent by the Lord means that we will have to give an account on judgement day for what He asked us to do.

I am not in this battle to please people or make friends. I hope I do along the way, but it’s not my called focus. I am in this because I have witnessed God’s love in a way that I cannot contain it. Nor do I want to.

My heart desires for everyone to experience that same love, peace and joy that I have today.

Every person should be challenged to stand up for the truth of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The harvest that God wants to reach is not behind the 4 walls of the church. It’s on the ball fields, the basketball courts, the classroom and beyond. We have a responsibility to push back the darkness that we all see and ignore today.

Our young people need our help in a crazy fallen world. The question is are “WE” willing to do what is necessary to teach them the only plan that works… The gospel of Jesus Christ.

I am not looking for justification, acceptance or credit while writing this. I simply want the outcomes that lie ahead of the challenges we face to honor the truth of what God has planned and sent His son to die for.

The question should be “What are people willing to stand up for?”.

The call of God in my life will not come before my wife or my 4 children. They come first and are my highest priority assigned by Him. Sometimes God asks us to stand firm. Other times He lovingly uses us to reveal life changing things greater than ourselves.

I am thankful for all the people that God puts in our path along our journey to reveal His grace and mercy to the world.

Sincerely,

Mark Ward

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
