The Enemy's Deception

The more I study the Word and seek God, I learn that we all can be deceived at times.  A lot of the time we actually deceive ourselves.  How you might ask?  People’s pride that comes from their good deeds or works starts to deceive them into thinking they are exempt from sin, or that their reliance is not on Jesus, but on themselves. 

1 John 1:8-10 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

It’s Time To Suit Up!

This morning I was listening to worship music and the Holy Spirit revealed to me that it’s time for the chosen of God to suit up for battle.  It was revealed to me that truth has been replaced with deception by the enemy and the tipping point of this deception has already taken place. 

God showed me that He will reveal himself against the traps and deception of the enemy. We must be obedient as Christians to stand firm and be ready to acknowledge the truth of God’s great revelation.  I was led to post this previous blog that I had writted many years ago.

VICTORY!

What is victory? It is success in a struggle against difficulties or an obstacle. Victory is the state of having triumphed. Victory refers especially to the FINAL defeat of an enemy or opponent.

Based on the definition of victory, we can conclude that there must be an enemy or opponent before there can be a battle. Therefore, if there is a battle that takes place, then someone will be victorious. If victory also tells us that the defeat is FINAL, then we can conclude that the battle will be finished once and for all!

I have been blessed to coach for many years and continue to witness the spiritual side of life that we are all a part of.  Spiritual things seem silly to the “WORLD” but once you have trusted God at his Word and implement it into life, you begin see how “REAL” and “True” His plan is for us. 

Since playoffs are happening for Leedey baseball today I was led to this story about sacrifice and unity that I wanted to share with you.

Victory in Love

Proverbs 22:4 By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life.

The discipline it takes to win championships can teach us many lessons.  I have had teams that win and lacked a sense of humility and others that truly gained the depth of what victory can be when togetherness is based on humility and love. 

When a team understands they are seeking a common goal and are able to place that goal ahead of their personal pride, they gain much more than a trophy.  They gain love and honor for each other and a deep respect for their accomplishment.

Do You Trust God?

As we go through life and the unexpected trial comes our way, how do we handle it?  

John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

We are supposed to be of good cheer because Jesus has overcome the world.  This means we are secure in our savior and His plan for our lives regardless of our circumstances. God has our back in all things if He is truly Lord of our lives.

You’re Not Alone

This morning I read this blog from 2016 and wanted to repost.  I belive somone is feeling alone today and this word from the Lord will remind us that God is with us.

I woke up this morning and God spoke to my heart that someone is feeling alone.  I was led to put together a series of scriptures from God’s word that reminds us of who He is to us and how much He cares for us. 

The Lamb of God

Since this is Easter week I have chosen a blog from 2016 to share with you today!

Last week our youth group watched a video in which Abraham was taking Isaac to the mountain to be sacrificed.  Each time I think of this story it reminds me of God providing a way for us when we trust Him.

But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!”

And he said, “Here I am, my son.”

The Lamb of God

I have been reading many online posts about how God is angry and punishing us.  The scriptures they quote are old testiment scriptures without reference to the New Covenant of Jesus Christ. 

Therefore, I was led to share this blog from 2016.  We need to understand that God's judgement was passed over to Christ at the cross and through His death and resurrection we are forgiven.  God's wrath was satisfied at the cross and Jesus rose from the dead to bring "Victory" to those who believe!

The Future is God’s

Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.

God shows us in this scripture that He will guide us by His eye.  This brings out a key revelation.  The word “eye” is used because God sees the future He has for us and will guide us to it if we are willing.

One Day at a Time

With the reality of this Virus quarantine all around us, I began to look into previous blogs again this morning from my past that are relevant for today.  This blog reminds us of the value of a single day and how important each moment is.  This blog was from 2016.

This morning Carrie and I woke up to another Saturday of chasing our children to ball games and events. I began to reflect on life and how fast the time goes.  We are growing older and watching life pass by.  Seems like yesterday that our first son Luke was born and he is now 17 and narrowing towards his senior year.  This reminds me how quickly it all takes place.

The Patience of God

This morning I am reminded about patience and trust.  God is good all the time and has a plan in all things.  We must trust that God not only has a plan but also that His plan is great.  I am sharing this post from 2016 today! 

Saturday mornings are special, especially when it rains. We had a big day planned with both of our boys playing in baseball tournaments.  The games were rained out and we had a day to spend with family at home.

Great Awakening!

Matthew 24:14 says, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”

Amen!

Over the last couple of days I have watched families on Facebook spending quality time together and even some singing worship songs in their homes with family, I gained a great revelation. God has a plan! 

First of all the Corona Virus comes from the pit of Hell and God doesn’t wish than any should perish.  This point is made clear in God’s word. We must look at things with Trust in God and with spiritual eyes.
