TRUSTING GOD
Do You Trust God?
As we go through life and the unexpected trial comes our way, how do we handle it?
John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
We are supposed to be of good cheer because Jesus has overcome the world. This means we are secure in our savior and His plan for our lives regardless of our circumstances. God has our back in all things if He is truly Lord of our lives.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Revelation: When I read this scripture the word “everything” stands out. In everything we are to give thanks. To be able to do this we must trust God. He created “everything” and is more than capable of handling anything that we face. God doesn’t cause the trial, but is the overcomer of the world’s schemes.
We need to recognize the trial as something to be thankful for. How do we do this?
We trust God. It’s a choice. The trial gives us an opportunity to grow in our faith and brings us to the admittance that we need God. This is a good place to be because we are saved by grace through faith!
Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Summary: We are rewarded by our faith and diligently seeking God. God created “Everything" and is more than capable of handling the trials you face. We have an opportunity to trust God to be our source and we will grow in our measure of faith each time we allow Him to handle our circumstances. Therefore give thanks in everything and trust God and His outcomes today.
Father we thank you for creating everything and being our source in life. Remind us daily of your overcoming love for us so we may trust you completely in all things in Jesus Name! Amen
Romans 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
