The Future is God's
The Future is God’s
Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
God shows us in this scripture that He will guide us by His eye. This brings out a key revelation. The word “eye” is used because God sees the future He has for us and will guide us to it if we are willing.
Question of the Day: Are you worrying about so many things that are in the future that you can’t enjoy life today?
Knowing Jesus Christ as savior gives us eternal life and security of our future with Him in Heaven.
We cannot control the things that are happening in the world today but God is in control and has a plan in ALL things. We need to humbly rest in God’s plan for today. The hope of eternal life reminds us that we have peace in our future with God, thus we should at least trust Him today and trust Him for tomorrow.
Deuteronomy 29:29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
This scripture implies that the future is considered “Secret Things”. It belongs to the Lord. We can only be dwelling in the things that have already been revealed to us. These things are all around us and they deserve our time and attention, especially our families.
I am learning to look at each day and cherish it. Today my needs are met and I can slow down and take time to love and enjoy what God has given me.
If we can learn to live for today and make the most of it we will begin to walk in the peace of God and our “Hope” for tomorrow is in Him as our Lord.
Fear would try to make us change the way we live but based on God's word and the hope he has given us, we need to invest today in the good things of God trusting that He will make all things work out.
Romans 8:28
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Father God we trust you with our future. Let your peace rest in our hearts to enjoy today and the things you have given us in Jesus name! Amen
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
