JESUS IS WILLING

Daily Diary - April 11th 2016

Jesus Is Willing

Mark 1:40 Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”

41 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” 42 As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.

We are all in need of being healed of something.  It may be physically, mentally or emotionally, but we all have scars of different types.

The revelation I gained from this scripture came from verse 40 where the leper asked the question “If you are willing”.  This is a question of faith.  The leper believed that Jesus could heal him.  More importantly he needed to know if Jesus was willing!

Question:  Do you believe that Jesus is willing?

We need to know that Jesus is willing to heal us.  The doubt comes from people continuously believing they are unworthy of the type of love that could heal them.  Jesus was sent to the cross to prove His love for us all.  He is more than willing at all times.  We simply need to rely on Him and trust His ability to take care of our needs.

Matthew 7:7-8  “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Verse 8 says that everyone that asks receives.  This scripture reinforces the fact that God is willing.  When we ask of God, the answer He has comes from His nature.  His nature is that He is willing to heal us of any affliction if we come to Him in faith and ask.

The man shows humility in verse 40 by kneeling down before Him.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Do we humble ourselves before we make our request to God?

Father God, we know that you are willing to heal us.  We come to you in faith that you will heal us of our afflictions, whether they are physical, mental or emotional.  We humble ourselves to your grace and trust you to heal us today in Jesus name! Amen.

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
