BOLDNESS IN JESUS!
Boldness in Jesus!
Reading the book of Acts this morning I was drawn to the prayer of boldness from the Disciples.
Acts 4:29-31 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
The denial of Jesus as Lord was obviously taking place in the world following His resurrection. We live in a world today that attacks the word of God and tries to eliminate Christianity in a similar way. We need to pray for boldness and be willing to speak it and reveal it to the world around us.
When we hear people speak with boldness in the Lord it brings great hope to Christians, but it is shocking to people of the world that do not know the gospel. They are deceived and lack the knowledge of the Word to bring understanding. The “World” hates those that know Jesus.
John 15:18-20 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.
Without God there is simply no truth to our lives. This means in every area of life. We should be boldly proclaiming the goodness of God and the Gospel of truth because by "IT" we are overcomers and victorious in all things.
Hebrews 4:15-16 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Father God we boldly proclaim you to this world knowing that you have overcame it. We walk in the truth of the Gospel of your son Jesus Christ. We are not consumed by the attacks of the enemy, but rather victorious martyrs by your “GRACE” in Jesus name! Amen.
1 John 5:4-5 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
