JESUS PREPARES OUR WAY!

Daily Diary - April 6th 2016

Jesus Prepares Our Way!

We have recently been talking about our direction and where we are going in life.  We will be guided by the Shepherd’s voice or the voice of the world.  The shepherd makes the way for His sheep.  The sheep trust that He will lead them to their destiny.

John 10:3-5 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”

The revelation I obtained from this scripture is in verse 4.  “He goes before them; and the sheep follow him”.  We have a good shepherd that goes before us and makes the way for our future.  When we follow another master we are off course and headed for destruction.

John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so,I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am,there you may be also.

Revelation:  Jesus prepared the way spiritually for us eternally and also in the here and now.  We are to “follow” him each step to the place He has prepared specifically for us.  We need to listen to His voice.  For certain Jesus prepared a mansion for our eternal home in His kingdom, He also prepares a place before us each and every day.  He is the good shepherd.

John 10:25-28 Jesus answered them,“I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me.26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

We need to listen for the voice of our Shepherd.  We need to trust that He has gone before us and prepared the way.  He will protect us and guide us through the good times as well as the difficult times.

Question:  Do you trust Jesus as your Shepherd?

The sheep trust the Shepherd.  That is the point.  Do we have enough faith in the father to listen and follow His voice as the sheep do?

Father God, we listen to your voice today.  You go before us and prepare a path that brings us eternal life both now and forever in Jesus Name! Amen

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
