The Confession Of Jesus Christ
There is power in the name of Jesus and those who are of God have overcome the enemy. By our confession of Jesus Christ as Savior, we become in right standing with God and inherit the kingdom of God now and forever.
1 John 4:2-3 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
Question: Are you of God by your confession?
4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
Many times we wonder why people do not understand what we are saying as Christians about God. The word tells us that when we speak: the ones of God hear us, and those not of God do not hear us because they are of the world. The people of the world are focused on the things of the world and have not come to the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord.
Romans 10:8-10 But what does it say?“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart ”(that is, the word of faith which we preach):9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
We need to walk in the humility and confession that we need Jesus as savior from our “Heart”. This is a position of the heart and not of head knowledge. It is a place of FAITH that becomes our identity. The spirit of God will become awake inside of us by a heartfelt confession that has become our life!
Father God we confess that you are our Lord and Savior. Wake us up so we can hear your voice and be led into your righteousness in Jesus Name! Amen
1 John 1:19 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
