Your Grace is Sufficient

Daily Diary August 31st, 2019

Your Grace Leads Me Home

Who need some Grace today?.  This morning I was going through my past blogs and this really spoke to me.  I wanted to share it with you today.

I’ve been blessed to receive some great revelations from God through His word, ministry and even dreams.  He is not a respecter of persons and will reveal Himself to anyone who seeks Him.  God revealed another element of ministering to me through music.  I had been leading worship, playing rhythm guitar for about 3 years when I woke up with a message in the form of a song.

It was about 3 years ago and I was struggling with some changes that I needed and I felt distant from God.  The trials of every day life were weighing heavy on my heart and I was in need of a break through.  When this happens, we may begin to lose focus and start to feel sorry for ourselves.  Sometimes in life we reach a point when we throw up our hands and say, “That’s it God, I can’t take it anymore, fix this.”  I’ve learned this is a good place to be.  We need to let go and let God take over.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

I was being impatient and I should have slowed down and waited on God, one day at a time.  The Lord spoke a very important statement to my heart.  “Nothing has changed”.  This reminds me that God is the same yesterday, today and forever and our circumstances will not change that.

This was the first time that God spoke to me through a song that He had put on my heart during a dream.  The message was simple.  “Today: seek My face, I have not changed and My grace will lead you home to me”.

The song lyrics referenced to 3 scriptures and spoke a simple and great message to me.  They were found in “Matthew 6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God”.  “Malachi 3:6 I am God I do not change.”  “2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace is sufficient for you.”

It was a message that reminds us to seek God first because He is good and does not change.  He has enough grace for me even when I fall short of His glory.  I have a home with God and I am accepted.

The “Chorus” lyrics to this song go like this:  “Today I seek Your Face, Nothing has Changed, Your Grace Leads Me Home”.

It reminded me that God doesn’t change and He is my source and only by His grace do I deserve anything.  He is a good father and will patiently lead me to my destiny in Him!

I woke up and in just a few minutes I had written the entire song, lyrics, music and all.  It is called, “Your Grace Leads Me Home”. It is a special song to me and I wanted to share the message with you.

The message for us this morning is simple.  Get up each day and seek God, nothing has changed and His grace is sufficient for you.  Based on these scriptures we have one job.  Seek God.  Our hope rests in the plan of an unshakable God that has us in the palm of His hands.

Hebrews 12:28-29 Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Father God, we are reminded of how you do not change and that your grace is sufficient.  Give us the wisdom to stay focused on your plan and keep us from the deception of the world in Jesus Name!

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
