SAFETY IN GOD'S PRESENCE

Daily Diary February 12th, 2019

GOD'S SAFETY

I was seeking the word “safety” in the scripture this morning and was led to Psalm 91.  As I began to read this passage looking for an ending point with which to pull from, I found myself unable to stop reading.  The fullness of this passage is the WORD for today.

Do you desire “SAFETY” in your life?

The safety of the Lord is available when we ABIDE in His presence.  To abide we must seek him by prayer and communion with Him through His word.

Psalm 91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High

Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler[a]
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”

God is your “SAFETY” and HIS salvation is found in knowing Jesus Christ as your savior.  The final line is key in pointing to JESUS as the salvation that God would show.

Romans 10:10-13For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.11 For the Scripture says,“Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.13 For“whoever calls on the name of theLordshall be saved.”

Acts 2:21And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.

When we call upon the name of the Lord we are saved.  Today we are reminded of WHO we are in Christ Jesus and understand that we are in the safe place with Him.

Father God we thank you for your safety today.  We confirm your WORD over our lives by faith and we proclaim salvation and victory in JESUS NAME! Amen

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
