EXAMINE YOUR HEART

Daily Diary January 11th, 2019

Self -Judgment

When we have accepted Jesus as savior we are forgiven of our sin and this places us in right standing with God.  Our salvation is based on the fact that we need a savior because we are guilty of unrighteousness.  When this happens we become self aware of our sin and are able to judge ourselves to walk out our salvation by striving to eliminate our failures.

1 Corinthians 11:31-32 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

It is our fleshly nature to judge people and hide in our own sin.  This causes us to look at others faults and point the finger so we don’t have to “Face” our own unrighteousness.  When we love one another and begin to take on the spirit of God we walk in our own judgment first, which causes our faults to be open to the Lord.  He is quick to forgive our sins when we are aware of them and bring them to His throne.  When we recognize this great love and relationship with God we become forgiving of others and therefore can embrace the love of God for people.

When we are examining ourselves in an ongoing basis we can constantly bring our failures to the Lord for repentance.  This keeps our unrighteousness pushed into the hands of the Father.  He is a good God and has accepted the fact that we will fail. This is proven when He sent His son for our salvation.  We simply need to walk in open repentance and not hide from God any sin that would trap us in this world.  Sure, the goal is to never sin, but when we do, we have an advocate to go to for forgiveness.

Question:  Do you try to hide the sin in your life from God?

The world does not hold forgiveness.  Only the grace of God can forgive our sin

If the world exposes our sin, the Grace of God is unable to cover the world’s judgment. Because we have hidden our failure from God, the world obtains the right to judge.  This doesn’t mean we are not saved but we have opened the door to the enemy to have its way with us when he exposes our sin.

Ephesians 5:8-14 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light(for the fruit of the Spirit sin all goodness, righteousness, and truth),10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things, which are done by them in secret.13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.

Lord we choose to expose the unfruitful work of darkness in our lives and expose them from the secret place to your marvelous light!

Father we repent of judgment of others.  We walk in self-judgment and keep an open relationship with You so we can find our perfect destiny in You.  We repent and open our hearts to You in Jesus name! Amen

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
