PUT YOUR OFFENSE ON THE FIELD

Put Your Offense on the Field

(Dream Revelation)

One night I awoke from a dream and realized it was very meaningful.  In this dream I was on the field playing quarterback.  My team was running plays and the success was absolutely zero.  We were unable to gain a yard.  In fact we were losing yards on every down.

We were locked down against our own goal line and I had called a time out.  I looked to the sideline and realized that our playbook was completely non-effective.  In fact it became clear to me that the other team already knew the plays we were running before we called them.  It was a completely helpless situation and it was obvious we needed a completely new plan to have any kind of success against this defense.

As I approached the line of scrimmage from my own one yard line I realized that it was time to surrender my play book and my ability. It was about dropping my pride and completely giving my future success in this game over to a better play book and plan.  I gained a revelation about what you can do when you are pinned against your goal line.  You can take the snap and you can take a knee.  I took the snap and kneeled down for a safety.

As I took the knee in the end zone I looked to the sideline and someone was fastening his chinstrap to come in and play quarterback for me.  It was Jesus!  I realized now that he would take my place calling the plays for me in life.  The enemy would be unable to stop any play that he ran.  I looked to the sideline and the coach calling the plays had a book in his hand.  It was the Bible, the playbook of life.

His plans and plays for life are way better than mine.  I do not have the ability to win this game against the ruler of our flesh and this world.  God knew this when he sent his son to defeat the enemy once and for all.  It is about submitting and admitting that his plan is better.  It is about getting to the end of ourselves and humbly letting Him become quarterback and call the plays for us.

Every play we run now is going for 6 points down the field.  The enemy is confused and unable to make any adjustments against our offense.  It is about being submitted to God’s authority and following the plan that Jesus made for us in the Word.

The enemy is now scared to play against our team.  He is afraid to even get off the bus, The enemy knows that He was defeated and every play that Jesus calls is a touchdown!

I believe this is the problem with the church as a whole.  We are just glad to be in control of our own lives and would rather be pinned on our own goal line being non-effective and unable to move against the enemy than admit we can’t do it alone.  If the body of Christ would simply humble itself to the word of God and admit that He is right we could defeat the enemy every time.

It has become clearly evident to me that the Word of God is the absolute “Truth” I want Jesus to be quarterback for me every time.  When we stand in this type of faith and hold true to the Word of God then we become unstoppable.

1 John 5:4-5 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
