BREAK THE CURSE!

Daily Diary - January 29th 2016

Break the Curse!

As we seek God we grow in faith of His word.  We desire to dig deeper and deeper to learn something new daily.  We must conclude the bible is the infallible word of God.  So therefore it is correct in what it says.

The biggest faith builder of my life came when I began to tithe to my local church.  Carrie and I were struggling as a young couple trying to get on our feet.  I heard Pastor speak on Malachi 3:8-12.  This is one place in the bible that God says “TRY ME”.

8 “Will a man rob God?
Yet you have robbed Me!
But you say,
‘In what way have we robbed You?’
In tithes and offerings.
9 You are cursed with a curse,
For you have robbed Me,
Even this whole nation.
10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.

11 “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground,
Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,”
Says the Lord of hosts;
12 “And all nations will call you blessed,
For you will be a delightful land,”
Says the Lord of hosts.

No matter what Carrie and I had tried before nothing seemed to fall into place.  Then I read this passage of scripture especially “verse 11” where God says “I will rebuke the devourer for your name sake”.  First of all this verse implies that if we are not tithing then there is a devourer that is destroying the fruit of your ground.  I also believed in faith that this was a personal promise to “Me”.  I stopped looking at the fact that I wasn’t worthy and believed that God wanted to show me that He was my Lord and was more than capable of taking care of me and my family if I trusted Him.

Question of the Day:  Do you feel like your life is scattered and not falling into place?

Carrie and I trusted God to rebuke the enemy from our lives by following God at His word and tithed even when we couldn’t afford to pay our bills.

We began to trust God with the 10% of our income, which is also our “First Fruit” or the first 10% not the last.  This has been the key to our trusting God.

Many people think that since the tithe is money then the return is also just money.  It’s so much more.  When God opens up the windows of heaven over your life you realize the blessings are to many to even count.  The life changing miracle over our marriage, children, opportunities and finances have exploded and we have concluded that Gods promise is complete!

Tithing is often twisted by the enemy, which is causing people to say that pastors only want money.  This is far from the truth.  It’s not about the church or the pastor.  This is a trust issue.  God doesn’t need your money, He is seeking a relationship with you and He wants you to trust Him to be your source.  He is a good father.

I have also seen people that want to know where their tithe goes or they will not give it.  Not that this is a bad thing but again they are missing the point.  If God is going to be in control of your life then let him.  Again, this is about “Trust”.  Once this money leaves your hand you have followed God’s word.  Your faith is accounted for and God see’s your heart.  The church or ministry then becomes responsible to God for the outcome of the Tithe.

Matthew 6:2-3 When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. 3 But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.

I have seen so many people that have put their money first above God.  When this happens they trust something other than God to be their source and they don’t even know they do it.  Having money is a good thing but it cannot fulfill your destiny or bring you peace.  Basically it is hard to “Seek First the Kingdom of God” when money is on the throne of your life.

So in closing, based on God's word and not my opinion, you are under a curse and you are deceived. You may be living in strife and struggle because you have opened the door to Satan's schemes simply because you do not tithe.

“I have never seen a person seek God as their Lord and Tithe that it hasn’t worked.”

I pray you will get this revelation of tithing and start living the overcoming blessing of God's protection in Jesus Name!

Close the door to the enemy over your life and family “Break the Curse!

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
