PREPARE A PLACE FOR ME LORD!
Where Is Your Mansion?
Today I was thinking about the many things that God provides for us and one key scripture came to mind.
John 14:2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Jesus was telling the disciples that He needed to go to prepare our place because we had been separated from God by our sin. He was going to fulfill the plan so that we could be at home with the father for eternity.
Question of the Day: Who has something going on in their life that they don’t understand?
Jesus was comforting His disciples because they did not fully understand why He was going away. Sometimes we don’t understand the things that are going on in our lives but we have to trust God because He has a better plan than ours.
Isaiah 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Our Lord is good and his ways are higher than ours. How much time do we spend trying to figure out what we should do next or how to fix something that God may already be working on?
He has done this in my life so many times that I have learned to wait on God. This doesn’t mean I don’t pursue the things that are in front of me. We must continue to strive towards our understanding of life’s plan. I am looking and humbly asking God to fix things His way and I desire to “recognize” His plan during my journey so I can be steered into His perfect will.
Father, we are thankful that your ways are higher than ours. Give us wisdom to pursue you in faith and eliminate our fear by the security of your plan in Jesus name! Amen
John 13:7 Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”
Trust God!
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
