SHINE ON!
Light Your Lamp
When we know Jesus as our savior and seek him, the dark areas of our lives begin to be revealed so we can transform to the Truth of who we are in the Lord.
As we are made aware of the things that need to change in our lives we can start the process of transformation that we all desire.
2 Corinthians 3:18 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
When the “Veil” is taken away the light of God is allowed to shine. This brings forth our transformation. The areas of darkness become exposed to the light, which is the Word of God.
Luke 8:16-18 “No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house.17 For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all.
His word shines light on our darkness and provides us a choice. Will we turn to God and remove our veil of darkness and allow this light to shine on us? Or will we turn away from the truth that brings forth our victory?
Question: Are you willing to bring your troubled areas to the Light of God?
It’s between you and Him. He is listening.
Transformation is made when we choose God’s way ahead of our own direction and allow Him to work out our darkness. For this to take place we need to “Light Our Lamp”.
John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
We have a choice to let the light of God shine into our darkness or continue upon the path of destruction. When we allow the light into our life, the darkness has no choice. It disappears. The Light is Jesus!
Father God, Today we light our lamp and allow your light to shine on our darkness. We expose the plan of the enemy to keep our troubles hidden from you and begin a life changing transformation in Jesus Name. Amen
Ephesians 5:10-15 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather exposethem.12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.14 Therefore He says:
“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
