Fools For The Taking

This morning I was thinking about how many things require instructions.  Basically everything we do has some sort of manual or pamphlet that gives us the “how to” of anything.

Every appliance and box of food or any other item we use has a set of instructions.  We are handicapped without them most of the time.  This is like life.  We choose to approach it without the instructions or knowing how it is supposed to work.  We are foolish to do so.

When we learn to follow instructions from the person that designed the item it works.  This isn’t hard.

Question:  Are you using the manual for life?

The bottom line is that we have a manual.  The bible.  It works perfectly to explain our needs and how we work.  Any other plan is simply a guess.  People everywhere are guessing about what is best for life all the way to the top of our government. 

People are giving us instructions based on “their” agenda to control and manipulate us into conforming to their plan.  They often do this for money and power or they simply don’t know the difference.  We need to be aware of the circumstances that come from not knowing the Word of God, which is life’s manual.

Hosea 4:6 my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.

If we don’t know our proper foundation that came from our maker we are forced to choose a foundation offered up by people.  This election season is showing us this very thing.  We are weighing in on peoples agendas and plans for our lives that are based mostly on corruption, control of money and power or plain ignorance.

There is only one foundation for life that works and that is God’s plan.  He is the creator of it and has all the answers we desire.  All other plans will fall short and there will be continued confusion and fighting over all these issues that are bombarding society. 

We will NEVER be able to agree upon our own selfish positions.  When I think about this I must conclude that we are ignorant and what we are basically chasing is our own destruction.  We have no chance of success without God’s plan. 

Jude 15:17-19 But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.¹⁸ They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” ¹⁹ These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

As Christians we need to be seeking people that will apply God’s word for our leadership.  If no one Godly is available then His plan found in His word will ultimately bring us to the end of ourselves and to a place of repentance.

As Christians we are protected with eternal life in His kingdom.  We can rely on God and not fear the outcomes of man.  At no time in history has God failed to prevail over mans plan and He never will. 

His word created life and everything in the world, and it will fulfill its purpose.  Mankind is simply filled with “fools” seeking to achieve the impossible things for self-gratification that ultimately mean nothing.  They implement plans of control without a foundation based on the creator of life, but rather on man made instructions.

Soon we will see outcomes of elections and processes put into place that will more than likely lead us further away from God.  I believe our need for God inside of us will grow immensely.  We will start to hunger for truth in a way that has never before been seen.  When this happens the truth of the Gospel will explode in people and it will reach the end of the earth.  At that point Jesus will return for His people.  The ones that seek the truth and know Him as Savior!

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
