WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?

Daily Diary - March 16th 2016

What Are You Wearing?

As we go through our daily life we are walking in a state that reflects either the world or God.  What ever we reflect ultimately reflects back at us.  It’s the same principle of reaping and sewing.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

It’s not always our words but more often our actions and demeanor that speak the loudest.  If we are sewing good things we will receive good things.  It’s a simple principle but very important.  It’s a choice to walk in love and joy, the world around us will notice.  The reflection back to us will become whatever we sew.

Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

We live in a very selfish world and most often people are so tied to what’s in it for them, that they are reflecting anger and forcing their will upon others.  This is a position of selfish pride that causes many to live in strife.  If we can walk in love and seek true understanding of the things around us then all things will have a chance to reflect God’s goodness over time.

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

The word tells us to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  If the word is true then we should have a benefit in following these things.

Question:  What are you wearing today?

Psalm 23:6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

2 Peter 1:5-8 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Father God, clothe us in your goodness today.  Let our reflection be a representation of your goodness and love that it may make a difference in our world and the world of others in Jesus name! Amen

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
