ARE YOU COMPLETE?

Are You Complete?

When Jesus finished the work of God at the cross our salvation was complete.  It became our responsibility to seek and walk out this finished work.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

The scripture tells us to beware of empty deceit, according to the tradition of men and basic principles of the world.  This can be difficult if we are not focused on God.  The world is full of deceit and the principles of it are all around us.  We are being told to choose all kinds of “Positions” in the world of politics and life, which most all do not line up with the truth of God, so therefore they are not a part of His finished work.

We are complete in Him, which is Christ Jesus our Lord.  He is the one that is the head of all principality and power and He will fulfill His word in all things.  Following the worlds principles only brings a temporary false peace that is not complete in Christ.  It allows us to be accepted by the “World” and the people in it who are also deceived.  This is designed by the enemy to make us comfortable to the world's plan so we do not have peace in God.

If we stay focused in God we will become complete and different than the world.  From this position we will have peace and become an effective part of God’s plan to people around us.  It takes patience to become complete.

James 1:3-5 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothingIf any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

We need Godly wisdom to know our position in the world and to operate in the power of Christ Jesus.  This Godly wisdom is available through patience and asking God to receive it.  In this wisdom we grow and become complete the way God finished it at the cross for us.

2 Corinthians 13:8-9 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong. And this also we pray, that you may be made complete.

Father,  we ask for patience and wisdom to seek your truth so we can become complete in the finished work of your son Jesus.  Amen

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
