WHAT'S YOUR EVERYTHING?
What’s Your Everything?
Our performance in life is related to our success. It is very easy to fall into the trap of pleasing man instead of God to gain short-term popularity, promotion or acceptance.
Galatians 1:10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Question: Today will you seek man’s approval in your choices or God’s?
Galatians 1:11 I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. 12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.
God created us and His perfect plan has eternal impact on our lives our families and the people around us. This Godly influence and impact can only come by seeking Gods will and not falling into the trap of the world.
Luke 5:10-11 Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.”11 So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.
This scripture says that they left “everything” and followed Him. This made me think about leaving everything behind to follow Jesus. Their “everything” that they knew was of the world. They were basically exchanging their old nature of things for the new plan of God. “Everything” is a matter of perspective. If I could trade “Everything” of the World for “Everything” of God it would be a great exchange!
Do you leave anything behind to follow Him?
Walking in faith to follow the Lord’s plan is uncommon to our worldly upbringing. This causes us fear and anxiety when we step into a new life pattern that contradicts worldly things. We hear the voice of the enemy in people that says we are off course when in reality we are switching over to the perfect course in life. It requires faith to walk into your destiny and it goes against the grain of normalcy, which is the majority of the world.
1 Peter 2:21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
Father God, Give us the wisdom to follow you instead of the world. Let us see into your kingdom with faith of the eternal things you have in store for us in Jesus Name! Amen
John 12:25-26 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
